Hey,
I'm just wondering what low chill (300 hours or below) peach varieties I can grow in a subtropical environment. I have been looking at Bonanza but there seems to be much controversy over its chill hours. Just looking for any suggestions or experience anyone has on growing peaches in this environment,
Cheers,
Jeremy

Peach cultivars with low chill-hour requirements

Of these I have grown/am growing the "Florida Prince" ( very good producer of small peaches), "Desert Gold" (another good producer), and "June Prince" ( lost in dry weather). Not listed but another low chill is the "Sam Houston" , very good but prone to peach worm.
