After having our garden pond removed and the area professional filled with three pauses for ground settling then new sod installed we are well into watering. The sod looks good but now it seems there is a small area that has slightly lowered a bit over an inch.

How should we correct this problem?

I would fill up the depression with compost and a garden soil mix. The grass will readily fill it in or grow up through it. It might take 2 or 3 years to make it perfect

To do a more instant job you need to remove the sod from the area in question, putting it to one side, build up the low area with more soil, level and compress it until you are satisfied then replace the sod...
