Long Bean question

My wife and I planted a lot of those Long Beans in our garden this year. The leaves are all nice deep shades of green, but the beans themselves are a very light shade of green; not anything like regular pole or bush beans typically look. What causes this? I thought it might be a nitrogen deficiency, but wouldn't that cause the leaves to yellow as well?

Any help would be appreciated.

If the leaves are a dark green then it is not a N deficiency. Are they green beans? What variety? Picture?
