I planted 2 hybrid lily bulbs - a cross of Asiatic and Longiflorum lilies.
It started growing fine intially and after stem grew for about 6-10 inches, both plants stopped growing further! Its been few weeks but no growth. I noticed that at the bottom 2-3 freshly starting leaves turned yellow.
They are planted in a pot in a sunny spot with 6-8+ hours of direct Sun (though last few days have been rainy). I water them daily.
I did not know much about soil so i potted one in well draining soil and another in soil that stays wet for longer.
What is going wrong?

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

Odd. Perhaps the lilies have stopped extending their stem to prepare to produce flower buds, but I'm not certain of that.
Are the lilies in both types of soil behaving the same? I would try watering less often than every day. Lilies want to be in moist soil but excessively wet soil would be detrimental. Wait until the soil surface looks dry before watering again. If it is very rainy that might take awhile.

Yes both buds are behaving similarly. Am attaching images. I will try alternative day watering.
