Lily Maintenance

Hey all!

Our lilies bloom pretty well in spring and I'm happy with them. My only question is when they aren't blooming in the summer, is there anything I need to be doing to them? Fertilize? Remove the seed pods (or whatever they are)? Remove the dead foliage at the bottom? Anything at all?

Cut the spent flower stalks down to the base of the plant so as not to see the cuts, pull off dead foliage almost daily as they die down for winter, before plant has completely died back, mulch with organic compost or we'll rotted manure, if your lilies are spreading too much you can split and separate before they die down too.
