I grew up on an island and pictures like this make me miss home. There is never a boring day when you live near the water. The island was full of hills and rocks, so it is great hiking territory too.

Oh my, although we were not on the ocean, we were close to Lake Ontario for years. I sometimes miss the fishing and tour boats, the ferry to Toronto, and having a shoreline to walk.

Your pictures make me "home sick". We had a sailboat a few years ago - our retirement plan was to sell the house and sail around the Atlantic. I was even figuring out ways to be somewhat sustainable, with hanging pots of veggies and growing bean sprouts. We have a piece of waterfront property that we were going to build a small cabin on. But alas, like so many plans, life intervened and the sailboat had to go bye-bye.

Galmal, those are beautiful pictures too, that is the view you see from your house? You are very lucky if that is the case. When I retire some day I am going to spend my days traveling around to different places and just taking photos of everything I see along the way...that is the plan at least!
