I live in southeast of England and wonder if I should trim the huge, no, gigantic helleborus leaves? Any idea?

I saw Carole of the Beechgrove Garden trimming hers off.. and wonder if I should do the same. But my leaves are healthy and big and new, not old tatty leaves...

Advice appreciated and thank you in advance.

Not if they are new leaves. the plant needs them to build up the strength to flower next year.
Diseased and damaged leaves may be removed though. I start taking off the old leaves in February. Some people do it in late Winter, it does not seem to matter.
