Hello all,

We just had some freezing temperatures in the Pacific Northwest, and our kale plants prior to these temperatures who is thriving. However, this week all of the stocks turned rainbow in colour and became mushy to the touch. Has the stem rotten, or does anybody know some way to bring them back?

Sounds like its rotting...but Kale is very hardy. o_O

My kale just went through several days of below freezing temps and 15 deg F lows with very little damage. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

If its mushy clear to the main stem, then the prognosis isn't good. How cold did it get?

Thanks for the feedback, ya I definitely believe mine have rotted. We had a foot a snow melt in just a day due to rain and they turned then, as well the stems wilted and turned yellow. I will post a photo tomorrow as an example. Yours look great by the way :)
