Kale bugs

Hi, I have noticed this white/green/gray bugs on my kale. I was wondering if it's just something i should treat with a home Depot pesticide?

My first line of defense is usually just to blast as many off with just plain water as I can, pruning off any particularly infested leaves. Come back in a couple days to see what you’re looking at.

I have a small hand sprayer that works wonders for this, but the hose works fine as long as the pressure is not too high.
