I read about plants that grow huge and take over, which just need a bit of pruning once a year in England, and about the 'City' someone lives in with a population of about 4,800; my small village, Robertsbridge in E. Sussex, has a population of about 2,600. To me a city is somewhere like London where you can hear any language and eat food from anywhere in the world, there are about four of them in the world. To me those foreign plants are something you have to take care of to keep alive and well, not take care to keep from taking over.
One more example, tomatoes. I see people talking about them 12 or 16 feet tall with huge numbers of huge fruit, mine are restricted to about four feet and three or four trusses per plant of fruit weighing a couple of ounces each if I take good care of them.
I find it really interesting reading about the rest of the world, what have you noticed?

It’s wild how different people see “city” and “plant care.” Some love the hustle and bustle of a big city like London, while others prefer smaller towns. And plants? Some grow like weeds, while others need a ton of TLC. It’s cool to learn about how these things are different in different places.

New Jersey USA has a different climate to SE UK, but tomatoes are a vine fruit. I grow them to the roof of a 10 by 8 greenhouse in a border and they end up curling around various supports. I discovered an unused greenhouse heater and bubble wrap insulation in the garage. So I could extend the season for tomatoes which are still growing and leaf plants like spinach over winter.
