Is this maple likely to survive?

I first noticed a dead branch and unfortunately I see only one not dead branch. Is there much point in cutting off all the dead ones or is it time to say goodbye?

If that cluster of leaves in the middle is the only live part, then it would only make sense to keep it if there is strong sentimental attachment to the tree. I will live if you remove the dead parts, but there won't be much left.

Thank you cpp gardener. I think it will look a little sad with only the small middle bit on its own. I'll probably give it a "trim" and decide after that.
