Is this a perennial or weed?

This looks like it may have been planted from seed because of how it is coming up but I can not find the package that matches what it might be. It is growing in between my African Daisy's it's tall with skinny leaves similar to grass blades.

Have you seen if flower yet? You may have to wait till it does for a more positive ID.

It looks kind of like an aster from the second picture, but the first one looks like it could be a Depford pink - both of those might be found in a package of wildflowers.
