We found a plant that looks a lot like a mango plant growing next to our butternut squash plant. We didn't plant it there and we don't eat very much mango so I have no idea how it would have gotten there.
It got pulled out during weeding and it came with all of its roots and a big bulb. We replanted it yesterday and it's been doing fine so far, albeit a bit droopy. All the mango saplings photos I've seen have green shiny leaves but this has brown shiny leaves. It looks exactly like this. https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-image-mango-sapling-image21604521
Is there a reason it's brown instead of green? I just want to make sure I know what plant I'm cultivating.
Also, is there anything I should know if it isn't mango? Like toxicit?
Thanks all!
