Hello y’all! My big loquat tree took a hit during the freeze back in February in Central Texas. I am looking for help. All the leaves are dead and it’s the beginning of Spring. Can y’all tell from the picture if it’s dead? There is still a little bit of green on the outer limbs around the circumference of the branches when I cut some off. I’m currently pulling off all the leaves but I am going to wait to see what happens to it for a few months before before I cut it back. Any info about loquat trees would be helpful! Thank y’all!

Can you prune back heavily on a limb and still see green living tissue along the cambium layer?

Good morning, yes I can. It is also starting to produce little tiny buds on a lot of the branches so I think it’ll be ok! Thanks for your reply!
