Hello everyone !
I seek advice here on how to properly install peruvian fern on top of my fence stone wall.
How to fix so they dont tumble or get blown by the wind and still have proper drainage..
Thanks for your guidance 🙏🏼

I use a weight inserted into a larger pot. The weight is a 10 lb dumb bell in a larger pot and I insert the smaller pot into the large one. So far it stands up to 40 mph winds and stays put.

hi !
Thanks for the idea
Ideally I wouldnt use a pot because:
- I have a large area to cover (15m) and I don’t w an the pot to be visible
- It rains really a lot where I live (Philippines) and I would want the pots to get filled with water.
My options so far were:
1) buy orchid slab, attach on wall and fix fern on it (but would require too many and it’s not so available/costly)
2) create a coconut coir (abondant here) cushion fixed on wall and tie fern to it.. 😬
3) install in plastic basket ..

Your ID says you're in France, so that may be why the pot was suggested.
The coir should work. It's a lot like the orchid slab. How you attach it to the wall could be interesting. Do you have spaces between the rocks that you can stuff with the coir and roots?
