So this plant (photos attached) lives outdoors in the warmer months and lives in the spare room while there is a risk of frost. I seem to be over run with tiny black flies, as you can see i have put up 2 sticky yellow pads which seem to catch 100s of flies and this has been on going since November of last year.
Can I stop the flies any other way?

Looks like fungus gnats. They live and reproduce in the soil so the best way to eliminate them is to kill the larvae. EVERYTIME you water, water with 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide and 3 parts water.

Thanks @Chuck
Where would I get that from and what form does it come in? Its totally new to me
You can get it at any pharmacy and most grocery stores. It is a liquid used to clean cuts and abrasions and to kill harmful bacteria on a human. It is common everywhere.
