Has anyone had success growing strawberries or anything similar indoors? It seems from the responses I am getting that it is difficult. I live in Arizona so I think I will get enough sunlight.
I've grown strawberries in a greenhouse, which is indoors, but although you won't get nearly as much light inside your dwelling, you should still get something of a crop, as strawberries are woodland plants and are used to dealing with a canopy.
It's very, very easy to over-water strawberries, especially indoors; remember that you won't get wind-based evaporation.
This is the only variety of tomato that I grow every year, and the taste is delicious, and they're not a hybrid, they're open-pollinated so you can save seed.
Their only drawback is that the skins are a little thick, and that's why they don't crack or split.
