His name is Groot, and about 2-3 months into having him in water, he had 4 nice leaves and 1 taproot that was like 6-7 inches long. I thought I would transplant him to a pot since he was being such a good boy, buuuut I think it's killing him. It's definitely transplant shock, but I can't figure out how to help him recover, or if he even will-- He has lost all 4 of is leaves, but still has green where the leaves were, so I think he is still vital. I am going to try to insert some images, the first 2 are from early July when I first transplanted him, then when he started to wilt, I transplanted him again to a bigger pot (because I'm an idiot). The last picture is from today.

Is he a lost cause?? What can I do for him?
Thanks,
Kristen

Let me see if these images work, since the first ones didn't seem to...

Yeah, i think that is what happened to the taproot. I have been trying to minimize watering and hopefully he will heal. Really hope he recovers :(
