Ugh! First, confession: due to a disability my yard was allowed to become somewhat overgrown and was not tended to appropriately for two years. I live in central NJ about 10 miles inland from coast.
My biggest problem is a thorny mess. It's a big bundle of thorny vine. It's grown overt and consumed an entire big hydrangea bush. It's now at least 10 ft wide, 8ft deep and 8ft tall with additional shoots along the fence. Its all thorn - no flowers, no leaves.
I've tried rounu up and also some vine killer stuff. Barely made any difference at all. I've tried chopping it but because it's so thick and so high is almost impossible to get in to it. It's many vines all inter-tangled.
I'm now covered in scrapes and scratches. This demon vine is definitely winning this war.
Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated. I really need this giant mess gone. Not only is it horrible to look at, my neighbor complained as its growing over a shared fence.
