I have tried several flowers in my vegetable garden in the past 50 years a 25 ft row of multi color Zinnias is what I like best. Zinnias blossom all summer mid May to Nov 1st and attract lots of yellow finch birds, 100s of butterflies, and lots of bees. I have a chair about 10 ft from the flowers where I often set and watch the, butterflies, birds & bees. I bought 1/4 lb. of Zinnia seeds from American Meadows online for $10 several years ago. Zinnias grow lots of seeds that I save for next year I never need buy seeds again. I collect seeds in 5 gallon buckets to give away. Zinnias attract more butterflies than butterflies plants there is always 20 to 40 butterflied. I plant Zinnia seeds April 20 at last frost they live until first frost kills them April 1st. I think attracting honey bees help to pollinate vegetable plants.

If you ever want to try a truly phenomenal looking Zinnia, I highly recommend "Zowie Yellow Flame." I used to grow loads of Zinnias, too, but never quite so many as in your lovely beds. Your gorgeous flowers!

My Zinnias were planted (grown from seed, too) all over my yard, front and back. I love all Zinnias, giant to small, but the Zowie one is extra special, I think. Much prettier than catalogue photos can depict.

Zinnias are such a great choice! I love how they attract butterflies, finches, and honeybees—it’s amazing to watch nature enjoy them. If you’re ever looking for fresh-cut flowers, I’ve heard great things about Global Rose. Their reviews mention beautiful, long-lasting blooms, and they have a great selection.
