The flowers are finished, so now is the time to cut it back fairly hard, leaving growing shoots near the base. then water it. That will give it time to put on some new growth before winter and hopefully come back nice and bushy next year.
Worth potting up the larger pieces in something with a bit of sharp sand in. They root fairly well and you will want a new plant sometime, keep the best one and give away the rest.
