my uncles built me a polytunnel after me asking them for ages, but then they gave up and now its half finished, there is no doors and some bits of wood sticking out. i spent 150 euros on the plastic last year , but they never helped me put it on so this year i am going to attempt it myself.

i can get 2 friends to help me , i have a trench dug a foot deep around it except at the doors , and i dont know what to do about the doors, how do i fasten the plastic to the door frame after cutting it? its very expensive so i dont want to mess it up .

my uncle claimed that you need a very hot day so that the plastic stretches and you stretch it out and bury it in the trench but i have heard from another guy that keeping it a bit loose is the key ,

i have no idea what im at but i have got to get this plastic on soon, as the growing season has begun! my two friends are willing to help at the weekend so if i know what im at then i can instruct them and we can get it on properly!

i think i should cut the pieces of wood still sticking out and i will have to try and build doors once we get the plastic on , but it can be doorless until then as long as the plastics on

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Look at the video again. It is pretty basic stuff.

I would also clear the site now, it is going to be easier than after you have got the cover on.

yeah i will dig up all the dirt thats buried under grass,
so i guess i can just nail the boards to the doorframe itself maybe but i dont know if itll work if u see my pics the door frame is different to theirs u no , it has only one part not two and im pretty sure the way theirs is setup it is holding the plastic tight

i can also nail some bits of wood to the middle of the door frames to make a lentil like in the vid , should be easily done , can nail the wood to the pipe where it is tied too before i cut it off then it wont come loose from the thing
