I especially love these salt walls surrounding vegetable gardens. Every time it rains your tomatoes recieve a tasty bit of salt. Appearently this poster has never read history. The Romans used salt to kill their enemies farmland. We still use salt as a preservative. This means salt kills bacteria and other organisms, especially organisms that live in your soil. Organisms that your plant needs to survive. Just look at that picture and think to yourself. Self, what if that wall had a 6 inch rain on it? It would start to melt and all that salt will go downhill, sterilizing the soil of all living things in its path, that's what. Hopefully everyone, not only gardeners, will realize this and not use these blocks of pink table salt anywhere outdoors.

ions are not molecules. they are part of a molecule, so sodium chloride (Salt) in solution will separate into sodium ions and chlorine ions.
