When I cleaned mine out I used good ole muscle power. Get some garbage bags, shovel, and maybe some clippers to cut back over grown bushes......No chemicals needed.

Our backyard garden is always clean because we do not allow insects to stay and multiply. Sometimes we use the insecticide spray and other times we use smoke by burning the pile of grass. Especially the bugs, they eat a lot of leaves that's why we are always on the lookout. But we also trim our plants and trees to make for the sunshine in getting inside. That will help in driving away the insects.

Do you have moles, also? I haven't figured out how to get rid of them.

We don't have moles in our garden. But our primary pest is the aphids which attack the tomatoes and pepper. That's why we do not plant tomatoes anymore because of the aphids which are so hard to control. Our garden is full of toads and frogs. We just don't eradicate them because they eat insects.

My biggest issues are the moles and the stink bugs. I refuse to use any chemicals on my food, that my family and I will be ingesting. I have tried some other methods, scarecrow and eggshells and such to try to keep them out. Im wondering if I'm going to have to put my fence deeper in the ground for the moles or if they would just continue to dig under it.
