Holes in basil leaves?

Hi, Our outdoor container basil has recently had many holes in the leaves. Haven't noticed any bugs on it. I've attached photos of the holes and stem area for comparison (sunny outside so bit of glare in pictures). Thoughts on what's eating it and fix? Thanks in advance!

snails/slugs if you cannot find any insects on the underside of the leaves.

Woodlice have a go at Basil too, try soaking the pots to drown out whats in there
