My name is Janet and I live in Charlotte, NC. I am new to gardening and would love to share what I've learned so far and learn new tips from others. Plants in the Southeast that will thrive are different than where I'm from in California. So learning what to do or not to do and what will or will not grow is an ever learning process. I'm looking forward to the spring when I can start my new garden.

Welcome Janet. I also am, as we're covered in two feet of snow here in Pennsylvania where I'm located. I only maintain a few ferns and small houseplants during the winters and just stock with my spring and summer harvest to last through the winter until replant and rotations happen. It's nice to see someone else joining up

Welcome, Janet! Glad you decided to join us Best of luck with your new gardening project! By the way, I totally get what you are saying, because I'm in a similar situation having to find out what things can or can't grow in the place where I am going to live.
