Hi I am April! I live in the midwest section of GA....I like plants, but have always been a bad one when it comes to them. Haha As it happens my husband grandmother was in love with them as well, but it was her hobby!
^^
I came here looking for some help. I am a 3 yrs wife with no children.....well my only children are my dogs! I am content with this. I would love to have some help on how to make my yard beautiful and maybe not kill stuff. Lol
My husband knows some , but not a lot, plus he is always busy. We just recently bought my husband's grandmother's house it was an estate house for a while. Now, that meant that allll the lovely flowers and tree she had in the yard is completely a mess! Only thing that stood a chance were the roses, some ground lilies I think and the trees. I have no idea how to identify them, though some I do not even want to.
I am trying to figure out how to start anew. Mother in law claims some bushes are azelas, but they are completely if almost dead, always sticky with some leaves. The rose bushes, two are very small, but I think they flushes before. One is huge but it had a dead stump with live pieces growing out. Not sure what to do! The other rose bush is dead at the bottom, alive at the top! I am unsure how to proceed also.
The only thing that survived on its own are the gardenia bushes which I love. I also get to train a wisteria tree she started years ago.
Help would be advisable!
