Hello everyone, I am Dora. I live in the wet tropics of Far North Queensland, Australia. I love gardening but since I have moved to the tropics I have encountered quite a few challenges. Up until a couple of years ago I lived in a region with a balmy subtropical climate and very fertile volcanic soil. All I had to do was to throw a few seeds out the window and papayas, tomatoes and cucumbers would sprout everywhere. I easily transplanted them into a prepared bed and voilà! the vegetable garden was happening without much effort. But when I moved north I found I had to do a lot more to get it all happening. I've come to this forum to learn new things about all aspects of gardening, but I am particularly interested in growing organic produce.
