Hey there folks,

I'm Amelia, currently living in Japan by way of the USA. We're here because of my husband's work, and I love it. It's a great environment for growing and gardening (the soil is so fertile!) so that's been a big bonus.

Looking forward to discussing all things gardening with you all!

You will be able to enjoy the beautiful sherry blossom season first hand Amelia. It is meant to be beautiful

It truly is!! We've been living here a couple of years now (with a couple left to go, unless hubby's work contract is extended!) and cherry blossom time is incredible and so quintessentially Japanese. One of the things I love about living here is that there are four very distinct seasons each with their own lovely foliage. Right now coming into autumn all the leaves are starting to change and it's beautiful!

Hi Amelia! So cool to hear you are currently living in Japan, I've always wanted to visit that place, but ever since the Fukushima incident I'm not so sure I'll ever visit that lovely place. I'm so looking forward to reading your posts and get to know about japan and its people through them :)

You just made me chuckle! I've actually been trying to work on my Japanese as a consequence of being here - I know quite a few words now but putting them into articulate sentences has been a whole lot harder. In saying that though I can generally manage to get a message across (even if part of it involves a game of charades!)

Appreciate the welcome - thank you!
