Hi all, need help with this nuisance? They’re all running havoc in my garden and they keep coming back every time I cut them down. What’s the best way to get rid and what are they called?

Welcome Marljack. :)

They are brambles and a devil to get rid of. Every part of the roots needs to be dug out and any left in the ground will re-shoot. If you're happy to use chemicals spray the foliage with a systemic killer. SBK works very well. Systemic killers are taken down through the plant to kill the roots. Be careful to use the killer on a windless day and keep it away from other plants as it can damage or kill those too. If that's not possible put some of the attached stems in something like a flip top bin bag, spray them inside and leave them to die off.
