my tomato plants have started drooping and wilting and I don’t understand why. Just a few days ago these were the healthiest plants. I kept it to watering sporadically but liberally when the soil felt dry ( I just stick a finger into the soil) it did fine until a few days ago when it started wilting so I stop watering as much but to no avail. Argh! Is there anything that can be done to salvage them? All my other plants are doing just fine. Also, here in Germany the weather has been pretty sunny and warm consistently since I got the plants.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you possibly overfed them or could they be in need of bigger pots?

Some of mine suffered when I moved them to cooler spot but you say you've got lots of heat so I'm just guessing.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will come along and offer some good advice. :)

Those pots could be the problem. Are they 1 gallon size? Did you recently change anything like water source or overfeed?

Thank u all for your replies but the panic is over. My tomato plants „woke up“. I read somewhere that plants sometimes droop and appear to wilt in order to take a break from transpiration and wakes up on its own. Seems like this is what happened. But I definitely will take into account the suggestions to replant them into bigger pots. Thanks again!
