Hi, I started some cabbage seeds indoors a couple weeks ago. While they did great for the first couple weeks now I am noticing their growth is slowing, some are turning slightly yellow and the leaves are curling as if dry.
I keep them watered, I do one big watering a day and throughout the day I spritz them if the soil looks dry which it rarely looks dry.
I wish I could post a picture, if there is a way let me know. I have them under an LED grow light probably 5-6 inches from the top of the seedlings to the lights. for the soil I'm using miracle grow seed starting potting mix

The seedlings that are long and lanky like that are not getting enough light. Sounds like you are overwatering too. Let the potting mix dry out some between waterings.

What kind of light is that?

I turn their light on at 7am and shut it off around 11pm. I believe they are LED grow lights. This whole set up was given to me as a gift so I don't have the order details but when I put it together I'm pretty sure it said LED lights

Not all LED lights are grow lights. A regular LED won't have enough red and blue light for optimal growth.

Your seedlings aren't getting enough of the right kind of light.

What kind of lights should I get? I wonder if I can change out these bulbs, I'll have to check. They are the long skinny bulbs. Also weird that someone would sell this grow setup but not give lights that are for growing lol

Once your seedlings sprout you can just bottom water. I agree that you are watering too much and there is a light issue. At least put your light as close as possible to the plants. If you have a fluorescent shop light try that but keep it at least 2" above the plants because they are hotter lights.

On the short term, like right now, I would move as many of those seedlings as possible to a windowsill that gets plenty of sunlight.

It may take a few days to find the right grow lights, and, in the meantime, you might lose all the seedlings or damage them beyond full recovery.

I put them all on a sunny windowsill. Thanks!

With the trays as shown in that picture I have 6 32 watt fluorescent bulbs covering that same area on my seedlings. If the picture is like your setup you don't have enough light. IMHO

If I move the light closer to the seedlings will that be okay? Only two bulbs go in those lights. Should I get more powerful bulbs?

I grow betwee 1500 and 2000 seedlings per growing season. I use the cheapest fixtures and bulbs available from Home Depot. They are 4 ft, 2 bulb, daylight white, T8 shop lights. I keep the bulbs 2-3 inches above the plants. If I don't they become leggy. It appears from the picture that you need to move the light closer to the plants.
