Help! Weird black dots on Monstera leaves + leaves browning

Hello all! Thank you so much for your help. As you can see in the photo below, my monstera's leaves have begun to turn brown. They are covered in little black dots. I note there are no bugs on the plant, so this does not appear to be thrips. No larvae, no bugs, nothing moving anywhere on the plant at all. Just these odd tiny black balls which do not detach from the leaves. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? Thank you!

Thrips. They move really fast and can fly, so you may have a hard time finding them. Spray whatever you use, but definitely thrips.
