Hi,

I have moved house and have these 4 beautiful roses.

Can anyone help me to identify the types. There are 3 pictures of each 4 roses. Two of them look like the same rose.

So first 3 pics I will call rose number 1
Second 3 pics rose number 2
Third 3 pics rose number 3
And final 3 pics rose number 4

In that order.

I think rose 2 and 4 are the same but not sure

Are they climbers/ramblers??

Many thanks for any help.

Regards,

P

A lot of the flowers are dead or dying which makes it very difficult to identify them. A close up shot of each different rose bloom and a petal count would be necessary. There are thousands of different roses, so sorry, identifying them is very slim indeed.

Oh ok thanks.

An app somebody suggested identifies one as a dog rose. The one with all the dead flowers.

The pics were taken today if that helps but can take more pics tomorrow.

The others according to the app are multi flora.

All I am trying to do really is to distinguish if they are ramblers or climbers so I know how to deal with them.

They are all either or. Certain of that. Maybe the one is a French rose. As they are all tall.

I took three pics of each in order including close ups to help.

Thanks for your input.

Somebody must be able to provide further clarification

Having taken another look at the pictures I think the first, second and fourth roses are ramblers, the third one a climber. If I might suggest - come dormancy during the winter, they would all benefit from pruning. :)

It is very hard to ID roses. There are so many types. Your Number 2 and 4 may be different. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the petal count should give it away. (5 petals vs. 8 to 12) clusters may also help with identification...(7-12 vs. 15-30)
