Help! My cilantro and chives are infested with aphids

Hello, it's my first time growing herbs, and I have cilantro and chives in a pot on my balcony.

They've been growing happily for about a month, but I just noticed today that there are thousands of aphids on them.

I thought that chives and cilantro naturally repel aphids. Am I doing something wrong?

Any suggestions of what to do?

I use captain Jack’s dead bug. You can get a spray or powder (I keep both on hand and use as a preventative) and it’s food safe.
