Help - anyone knows what this is on my lime tree?

Please could someone advise what aw these spots on my lime tree?

White oil, but not in the last two weeks

Did you use too much white oil in hot weather? Apply it when it's cooler and make sure it's diluted right.

Yes, the white oil is probably what has caused the mottling. Good news is that it isn’t particularly damaging and the plant will outgrow it. Now you know not to use it so much during hot weather. I think less frequency is more important than temperatures other than that it’s more ‘damaging’ in extreme heat than more mild conditions.
