I am a second year gardener at the Jersey Shore! Also, if it isn't too much trouble I misspelled gardener in my nic. Would a mod be able to change it to GardenStateGardener? If not no worries!

So last year I planted a 4 x 8 raised bed. It yielded 30 lbs of tomatoes, a few cucumbers, lots of basil and parsley. This year I added two additional beds. Both 4 x 8. I am growing eggplant, 4 varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, chili peppers, wax peppers, Jalapeno and Bell peppers. I also have lots of basil, flat leaf parsley rosemary and I planted a pumpkin patch. I never new what an obsession growing a vegetable garden could be. I also took the picture of the Red Tail hawk in my avatar. It was born in a tree in my back yard.

Welcome! Your veggie garden sounds great. I do one every year as well.

Nice about the hawk. I have one (or a pair) here - sharp-shinned or Cooper, not sure - that sometimes get birds from my bird feeders. I feel badly when they do, but the hawks gotta eat as well.

Welcome! We have several vegetable gardens, as well as an herb bed, and find that tending and harvesting is one of life's great pleasures! I'm looking forward to hearing about your gardens, and seeing what you harvest.
Just asking, are "wax peppers" the same as bell peppers? We grow bell peppers, but haven't heard of wax peppers. Always looking for a new gardening experience!
