Hey guys, checking in from zone 6b on the east coast!

I've been dabbling in gardening for a while. Last year we grew potatoes and they went pretty well. I'm thinking about growing enough to make my own potato chips and fries next year. IF that's gonna work I will be needing some tips from this forum haha.

Welcome to the forum. Potatoes are a good starter crop, They are vigorous and suppress weeds, and any that do make it past the initial digging and planting are further suppressed by earthing up and then digging the crop. Remember to rotate your crops, I would suggest beans where you grew potatoes last year, leave the roots in when they are done and they will add nitrogen to the soil.
