Hi everyone. I retired just over two years ago and started growing vegetables, this being the third summer of gardening. More failures than successes I'm afraid as it's not as easy as it looks on TV! Most of our garden is landscaped on a woodland/wildlife theme and is looked after by a very competent gardener. Behind the garage we have a greenhouse, a small patch of land, compost heap and some hard standing on which I use containers. We are 750 feet up in The Pennines so the weather can be a bit of a problem at times.
