Hi all! Im new here but not to gardening, although Im ready to take it the next level. The level where you learn what you have to work with or amend it accordingly. The just taking a stab in the dark method isn't really working for me anymore; if it ever had. So I will need tons of advice and guidance along the way. TIA!

Welcome to the forum! We are in central Texas, and know about the "learn what you have to work with". One of the first things we did after moving to our little farm was get the soil tested with a kit from the county extension agent. We found we had three types of soil on 9 1/2 acres! You might want to get your soil tested--it's very helpful in deciding what to use for amendments and what the soil will support.
