Hanging Baskets

I would like to make my own hanging baskets and would like to know what are the best plants to put in them? They would not get morning sun but afternoon sun till dark.
I live in Northwest Ohio.

Could you give me a list of plants that would work in them?

Also, I would be using Coco baskets, I was told that they do not dry out as fast as plastic pots is this true?
This would be my first time putting a hanging basket together, I feel that one can save money by doing it yourself and would be a very good learning experience.

Are you wanting to plant flowers or herbs in them? My mother always saves the hanging baskets she has gotten for Mother's Day over the years and replants flowers in them over and over. She uses Marigolds, Petunias, Impatiens and Sweet Williams and they always do very well.
