The species name nootka was a sound from Vancouver Island where the plant was first described, It's a wild rose.Hi MrsClem!
The rose I photographed was actually a Nootka rose,but I looked up the rugosa rose and it looks like the same flower. Do you know if they are the same rose?
I'm guessing that it's Himalayan poppy.
Hellebores got loads of them, just started to grow the flowering stems.Guess this flower! I love these! I used to have some that were kinda purple too.
