Growing Cucumbers Upwards

Last year I tried to tie a string to the vines and as the vines grew, I pull the sting making them grow up versus across the ground. My cucumbers were so big and firm

That is good, I wish I would have done this. This year was my first time growing cucumbers so I assumed they would grow in a mound like most squash like plants grow. I was so wrong and now my cucumbers are all over the place. Not a bad deal as I have had of cucumbers be picked so far.

I havent been in my garden n a week and I need to start stringing them noe, because they are bushing

At the last check, my cucumbers had annexed the Sudetenland.
They really are taking over.
