I have a narrow border out the front that has never been a border with actual earth. It's just rubble and what was the edge of the road covered in a membrane and then slate chippings. Last year I managed to dig some holes in it and add some pockets of earth and plant some fleebanes and campanulas and they are doing really well. As I am less and less able to garden (age) any ideas for other plants that are happy to grow in nothing. Would like flowering plants. THANKS
