Green Manure

A green manure cover crop is any crop that is turned into the soil to add nutrients, organic matter and nitrogen to the soil. Does anyone here consider adding green manure to their garden? Green manuring positively influences the physical and chemical properties of soil.

This is the first time I've heard of green manure. But if you mean the weeds that we have pulled, well, we pile up the weeds like a haystack and use it as mulch or soil cover when dried. In the farms here, they also do that with the hay of palay to enrich the soil because rotten hay enriches the soil. With dried weeds and grasses, it is like having a small haystack that we can use with the rich soil of the compost bin.
