Hi!
I have a plum tree (Victoria) with a 2 meter trunk. The tree is 5 meters tall, counting the canopy.
Before I trash it, I'd like to know if there's a way to "add" lower branches (that will produce fruit!!!) to this tree.
Would T budding grafting onto itself at lower heights work?
I'm thinking on brutally cutting a third of the tree from the top, leaving some higher branches that already exist, then using the cut branches to create 12 scions, and grafting them at lower heights through the trunk.
What are your thoughts?
