I don't know if I've done something wrong, not enough of something right, or it's the rainy, humid, insufferable 90-100 degree heat. But my healthy, thriving little garden has taken a sudden turn for the worst. I've tried to research online in hopes of identifying plant diseases and the options for prevention/treatment, but it's so darned confusing. Diseased leaves all look alike to me!

These are leaves on my tomato plants. I'm not even sure I should cut them off. My ignorance when it comes to diseases knows no bounds!

Below is my cucumber. It was so beautiful, healthy, and unbelievably productive. Then wham!
No idea why, what to do, or if there's even hope.

My squash is right next to the cucumber. Except for a few bottoms leaves, it looks great, but I cannot believe the speed with which “good” turns to disaster! Will it get whatever the cucumber has?

Lastly, I planted new-to-me bush beans which didn't seem productive and didn't stand up but I didn't know if that was normal. I was taking a closer look at one plant when the stem just snapped off for no good reason. There seems to be an issue with all the stems about 4 inches up from the soil. They just look weird. The plants aren't dying, just limping along.

I have no sense of direction. Should I pull up my cucumbers and beans and plant something in their place? Is the cause of the disease in the soil waiting to affect anything else I might plant there? I have serious limitations when it comes to changing the weather, but otherwise I'm willing and able if only I knew what the heck to do. This is my first attempt at uploading photos so I hope they aren't huge and irritating! Any experience or
knowledge shared will be so so so appreciated!

I must have spinach in my teeth because it's been 3 days, no responses. In the meantime, things are
going from bad to worse. Here's are pics (hopefully not enormous pics) of my Sun Sugar cherry tomato.
I've no idea if I'm looking at disease or pest damage.

Also, here are pics of leaves from squash in a container. Clearly, it has something going on.

Growing up in Springfield, we spent a lot of time in Christian County visiting relatives. Wonderful area.

I would give those tomatoes a handful of Epsom salts scattered around the base of each plant and watered in. You should see improvement in new tomatoes...but probably should remove the old ripe ones showing blossom end rot. No hope for them.

You might have cutworms. I can't positively id them, but a Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) spray will get 'em if that is what you have. Bonide, Monterey and others make a good organic BT spray.

Good luck and endeavor to persevere.

Wow. A response! Thank you! And, yes, this is a wonderful area. I've lived in Spfd., but love the small town atmosphere of where I am now. I have BT. Which plant do you think cutworms are damaging that a BT spray would help? Thanks again!

From your description the green beans and squash and anything where you are seeing damage on the plant stem just above the soil.
