That ground will swallow up all of the peat moss you can throw in it and lower the pH if you did get enough in there. Use compost instead.

Basically been putting a Compost in. Like clean the Chicken House out and Ash Bin. Plus yes I put 12 Cu. Ft. Of Peat Moss on. Compost is out for now just getting my Bin built.

Been testing my soil and test says it will work.

Before I forget I have some Peppers not doing well I'm thinking they might have been planted where there was heavy Wood Ash.

I find bone meal really helps with peppers, and lots of organic compost. The bone meal is slow at doing it's thing though, best to toss it in the hole when planting them. But still wouldn't hurt to work it in now around them.

The pH has to be on the acidic side before bone meal breaks down. If not, it just sits there.
