Am I correct in assuming this is an emerald green arborvitae?

And I assume these are green giant arborvitae?

I pulled out a couple of euonymus bushes that were in between the arborvitae. They were crowding into the arborvitae, and you can see how the arborvitae branches died off where the euonymus was pushing into it.

The gap from trunk to trunk is 7-1/2 feet. Of course it would be quite a bit less if the arborvitae on either side fill where they lost branches due to the euonymus. It would be difficult to plant 2 emerald green arborvitae there due to the extensive root structure of the euonymus. The middle of the gap is more diggable, but I can only fit one arborvitae there. Would an emerald green work there, or is that gap, even with filling of the existing arborvitae on either side, just too much? Should I plant a green giant there instead?
