I'm new to figs. I bought 1 three years ago.
1st year it was in the ground. Come spring it looked completely dead. When I dug it up I noticed a small bud so I put it in a pot & it grew great.
I overwintered it inside & put the pot out this year & it grew like crazy & produced fruits. (about 12)
There's now way they'll ripen this year. I'm going to bring it inside again this winter. I THINK I read that they will ripen next year!
Is this true?
TIA

If the tree was growing outdoors, I would recommend removing the fruit, but as you are going to keep it indoors you might try leaving the fruit on. I'm not certain the fruit will continue to develop in Spring but they might.
